Trash Ground

One would say trash, we say opportunity.

Numerous city corners are full of marooned large size domestic garbage such as furniture and interior decoration. By treating them as a raw material, we can enjoy huge surface area, great variety of patterns and textures, accesibility and competitive price - the only investment is time and idea.

The scenario is quite easy: you put a jigsaw, a marker and a stencil in your bag. You go for a walk, encounter a large size domestic garbage such as wardrobe, put a stencil, draw a line, cut and it’s done. You urbanized a domestic garbage! Congratulations!

Since play is a fundamental need and trash is inseparably conntected with living in the city, trashgrounds could be provided in many cornes of the modern city when trash is present.

Trashground project is about urbanizing home waste. By collecting more and more opensource stencils we’d like to enhace citizens’ interest in public space.

It’s not about material. It’s shape that matters.
